Four Kashmiri youth planning terror strikes in Delhi arrested: Police

The Special Cell of Delhi Police on Saturday mentioned it has arrested a bunch of 4 radicalised Kashmiri youth who have been allegedly planning terror strikes within the nationwide capital.

In a press release, the police mentioned the accused have been nabbed from central Delhi’s ITO space and have been carrying 4 refined pistols and over 120 rounds of ammunition.

The accused have been recognized as Altaf Ahmad Dar (25), a resident of Pulwama, and Mushtaq Ahmad Gani (27), Ishfaq Majeed Koka (28) and Aqib Safi (22), all residents of Shopian, the assertion mentioned.

“Ishfaq is the elder brother of slain terrorist Burhan Koka, ex-chief of Ansar Ghajwat Ul Hind, an off-shoot of Al Qaeda in Jammu and Kashmir,” police mentioned.

They mentioned Burhan Koka was killed in an encounter in Shopian’s Melhora space on April 29 this 12 months together with two different associates.

After his demise, his elder brother Ishfaq Majeed Koka was approached by the cadres of Ansar Ghajwat Ul Hind to work for the terrorist outfit, police said.

“On Friday, police obtained data {that a} group of radicalised Kashmiri youth had collected an enormous cache of arms and ammunition and can come to ITO and Daryaganj.

“Thereafter, a lure was laid close to ITO and the accused have been apprehended,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Pramod Singh Kushwah mentioned.

Preliminary interrogation revealed that Ishfaq was allegedly indoctrinated by current chief of Ansar Ghajwat Ul Hind to work for the reason for Jihad.

Ishfaq additional indoctrinated Altaf Ahmad Dar, his cousin Aaqib and Gani, police claimed.

As per directions of their handler, they got here to Delhi on September 27 and have been tenting at Paharganj, the DCP mentioned.

During their keep in Delhi, they collected arms and ammunition, he mentioned.

They had plans for a sensational terrorist exercise and thereafter, they’d be formally inducted in Ansar Ghajwat Ul Hind, Kushwah mentioned, including that additional investigation is underway.
