Govt permits invalid pension for troopers with lower than 10 years of service

The defence ministry mentioned on Wednesday it has allowed invalid pension to these armed forces personnel who’ve lower than 10 years of qualifying service.

Till date, invalid pension was granted to these armed forces personnel who had greater than 10 years of service and had been invalided for causes that had been neither attributable to nor aggravated by army service.

If the service rendered was lower than 10 years on the time of invaliding, solely invalid gratuity was paid to the soldier until date.

The ministry mentioned on Wednesday: “The authorities has taken a choice to permit invalid pension to armed forces personnel with lower than 10 years of qualifying service.”

It mentioned that an armed forces personnel, whose service is lower than 10 years and who turned invalided resulting from any bodily or psychological infirmity that’s neither attributable to nor aggravated by army service, and which completely incapacitated him from army service in addition to civil re-employment, will probably be benefited by this determination.

“The proposal has been accepted by Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh. Benefit of this determination will probably be accessible to these armed forces personnel who had been in service on or after 04.01.2019,” the ministry famous.
