A 16-year-old boy from Mundra in Kutch has been picked up by the police for allegedly issuing rape threats on Instagram to the daughter of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, after his group misplaced a match within the ongoing Indian Premier Legaue (IPL) event.

According to the police, the motion in opposition to the minor boy, a resident of a Mundra village, was taken on the idea of data given by the Ranchi Police, who’re investigating the case.

According to Kutch Bhuj police, the boy has allegedly confessed to having posted the threats utilizing his Instagram account.

Speaking to The Indian Express, Saurabh Singh, superintendent of police, Kutch Bhuj, mentioned: “Ranchi Police is investigating this case. They knowledgeable us on Sunday that an accused who made sure feedback on Instagram had been traced to Mundra in Kutch. We picked up the juvenile in the present day and in our interrogation, he has confessed to having posted these feedback after CSK misplaced a match to KKR.”

Singh mentioned the boy research in Class 12. “Since he’s a minor, we can not arrest or detain him with out fees as per the juvenile justice Act. So we’re ready for Ranchi Police to reach in Kutch, after which we are going to hand him over to them.”
