The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday stated India and China agreed to work in the direction of complete disengagement of troops alongside LAC within the western sector and to expeditiously resolve excellent points through the border mechanism assembly.

This was the fourth meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation & Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC) since tensions erupted early May.
