Maharashtra: Three held for trespassing, manhandling guards at CM Uddhav Thackeray’s farmhouse in Raigad

The Raigad police Wednesday arrested three individuals for allegedly trespassing Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s farmhouse at Khalapur in Raigad.

Police stated that two of them posed as reporters from a number one information channel and had allegedly manhandled and threatened the safety guards after illegally getting into the premises. According to the officers, the incident came about at round 7.30 pm on Tuesday.

Confirming the arrest, Superintendent of Police Anil Paraskar (Raigad) stated, “Two of them declare that they’re from a information channel, which we try to confirm.”

Another officer stated: “The complainant works as a safety guard on the farmhouse and was given night time responsibility on Tuesday. So whereas he was strolling in direction of the farmhouse, these three males who have been travelling in a Wagon-R automotive requested him for the deal with of Thackeray’s farmhouse.”

The complainant sensed one thing amiss resulting from which he lied saying he was not conscious of the deal with, police stated. However, minutes later, whereas he was on responsibility on the gate of the farmhouse, these three males went contained in the safety guard’s room and manhandled him.

“The three trespassed, threatened, abused and manhandled the safety guard,” an officer stated.

The safety guard famous the registration variety of the automobile and reported the incident at Khalapur police station following which their automotive was intervened at a toll sales space in Navi Mumbai and the three have been caught.

On the idea of the guard’s assertion, the three have been booked underneath sections 452 (house-trespass after preparation for harm, assault or incorrect­ful restraint), 448 (punishment for house-trespass), 323 (punishment for voluntarily inflicting harm), 504 (intentional insult with intent to impress breach of the peace), 506 (felony intimidation) and 34 (frequent intention) of the Indian Penal Code.
