Missing TA soldier’s garments discovered, his household pleads for physique to be returned

Five days after a Territorial Army soldier went lacking in Kashmir, his household has discovered his garments in an orchard close to their home, and has appealed to militants handy his physique over if he has been killed. On August 2, Shakir Mazoor Wagay, 24, went lacking after he left his house at Harmain in south Kashmir’s Shopain district.

On Friday morning, Shakir’s father Manzoor Ahmad Wagay, whereas looking for his son, discovered his garments in an orchardnear their home.
“His garments had been torn and there have been stains of blood on the bottom,” Manzoor informed The Indian Express. Manzoor knowledgeable the Army about Shakir’s garments within the orchard, and an Army staff instantly arrived with sniffer canines.

“I do know my son was a soldier. I enchantment to the Mujahideen to forgive him, if they’ll… If they’ll’t forgive him, please give his physique again to us. That is our proper,” Manzoor mentioned.

On the day of his abduction, Shakir, who had been posted on the Army’s Balpora camp, was allowed to depart the camp with official mail. He had then visited his house and left in his private automotive.

Manzoor mentioned his son referred to as him quickly after leaving. “He (Shakir) informed me {that a} good friend has met him on the best way and it could take him an hour. He was hinting to me that he has been kidnapped,” Manzoor mentioned. “I later got here to know that his car was stopped lower than a km away from house and a few folks had boarded it.”

On Sunday night, Shakir’s automotive was discovered deserted and burnt at Kulgam’s Nehama village, some 16 km from the place he was kidnapped. The household says they don’t have any details about what occurred after that.
Army sources mentioned the searches for Shakir are persevering with.
