Nestlé sued over tonnes of lifeless fish in river

The head of a French fishing federation has lodged a criticism towards international meals conglomerate Nestlé, after 1000’s of fish had been discovered lifeless in a river in north-eastern France.

Several tonnes of lifeless fish had been reported within the Aisne river on the weekend, near a Nestlé manufacturing unit.

The deaths had been attributable to a lower in oxygen ranges within the water, the native prefecture mentioned on Tuesday.

The lifeless fish had been discovered close to Challerange, 50km (31 miles) from Reims, the prefecture mentioned in a press release.

“We have lodged a criticism towards Nestlé France for air pollution and violation of article 432.2 of the environmental code,” mentioned Michel Adam, president of the Ardennes Fishing Federation.
