Photos: Wildfires rage throughout California threatening hundreds of properties

Wildfires continued to rage throughout California on Thursday fueled by dry warmth and excessive temperatures, threatening hundreds of properties and forcing evacuations. California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Wednesday mentioned that California had been hit by 10,849 lightning strikes over the past 72 hours, which has helped ignite an excellent portion of the 367 identified fires throughout the state.

The fires in Northern California have unfold from Santa Cruz County to wine nation, filling the skies above the San Francisco Bay Area with smoke. Fires are additionally burning within the Sierra Nevada mountain vary and components of Southern California.

“Fires are making runs in a number of instructions and impacting a number of communities. A critically dry air mass is shifting over the realm bringing robust winds,” an announcement from Cal Fire mentioned. 

As of Thursday morning, the LNU Lightning Complex Fire, a gaggle of fires which have affected Napa, Sonoma, Lake, Yolo and Solano counties, had burned greater than 124,000 acres and was 0% contained.
