Four Hizbul Mujahideen militants have been killed in an encounter with safety forces in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Monday.
This was the second main operation inside 24 hours in Shopian district. On Sunday, 5 Hizbul militants have been killed in a gunfight with safety forces within the district’s Reban space.
The encounter on Monday passed off within the Pinjoora space of Shopian, about 15 km from Reban.
According to law enforcement officials, joint forces launched an operation in Pinjoora village and the gunfight started round 3.20 am on Monday. It ended about 4 hours later with the killing of the militants.
A safety officer stated two safety personnel have been injured within the gunfight.
