Swachh Survekshan Results 2020: Indore metropolis in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday retained its place for the fourth time because the cleanest metropolis in India, based on outcomes of the Swachh Survekshan 2020 survey.
While Gujarat’s Surat bagged the second spot, Maharashtra’s Navi Mumbai ranked third. The outcomes have been introduced by Union Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri at a ceremony.
This is the fifth version of the survey that was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in January 2016. In the primary version of the survey, Mysuru had received the award for the cleanest metropolis of India.
Talking to new company PTI, Indore Municipal Corporation Commissioner Pratibha Pal stated on Wednesday, “We are assured that with the assistance of our onerous working sanitary employees, conscious residents and public representatives of Indore, we’ll safe first place within the cleanliness survey for the fourth consecutive time and our slogan of hitting a 4 by way of cleanliness will transform true.”
A complete of 1.9 crore residents throughout 4,242 cities of the nation participated within the survey held by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
